IUNU is an agriculture technology company that leverages computer vision to make indoor farming / commercial greenhouses / controlled environment agriculture more efficient, autonomous, and scalable. Indoor farming has the potential to promote better nutrition in the population, increase biodiversity and food security, and slow climate change. By solving immediate problems for farmers and mitigating the industry’s labor shortage with our products, the iUNU team is reinventing the greenhouse industry and food supply chain from the ground up. We want your help building our team and culture as we scale the company.
We are a mostly remote team with headquarters in Seattle, WA. Our team of 60 people will remain flexible in person or remote and grow to 120 over the next two years -- we're looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking professional to manage Human Resources and be an integral part of the company’s future. Grow our HR department from scratch! This role will report to the CEO.
As part of this role, you will:
- Establish and manage hiring processes and run recruitment and hiring company wide
- Create and manage employee onboarding and training manuals/processes
- Ensure compliance – including but not limited to management of job descriptions, employment agreements, commission agreements, etc. to make sure they are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
- Be an ambassador internally and externally for company culture
- Manage company DE&I initiatives
- Work with the CFO to and employee benefits programs including group medical/vision, dental, life and supplemental insurances.
- Work under the CEO and collaborate with the Executive team to develop and maintain staffing plan that aligns with company goals/budget as well as market research
- Design and implement organizational development and personal development programs such as leadership training
- Write & continuously improve the Employee Manual, and produce initiatives to foster and grow our impactful, collaborative and results-oriented company culture.
- Manage performance evaluations, promotions and compensation reviews
- Review and recommend policy and procedure updates in compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
Your experience:
- At least 2+ years HR management experience
- At least 2+ years talent acquisition experience
- Start-up experience, including growth >50 employees
- Working within a PEO environment
- Health benefits and 401(k) management
- Proven track record of recruiting strong technical hires
- Compensation structuring and negotiation
- Implementing creative motivational strategies
- Familiarity with immigration/visa processes a plus
- Experience fostering and maintaining productive & positive culture within a remote organization a plus
