Do you want to work with a fast-growing technology startup focused on increasing efficiency in agriculture? Do you want to work with robots and the latest in computer vision and machine learning tech on a daily basis?

Headquartered in Seattle, we are seeking an energetic, team-oriented and responsible individual to fill a full-time Senior Full Stack Software Engineer position as part of our software engineering team. You would primarily be focused on Full Stack front-end development.

iUNU’s core values revolve around grit, innovation, and doing the right thing. iUNU’s flat organizational structure lends itself to the person willing to speak their mind, and challenge the status quo in order to fulfill the ultimate mission of delivering the best solutions possible to our grower customers.

Job Brief

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building a robust GraphQL server-side API and integrating it with a modern Flutter application on the front-end. Our app, Luna, must be available and performant on multiple devices and the web so we are committed to a singular code base that does just that. Back-end services must support both our own UI as well as 3rd party client integrations.

The best candidates will understand debugging, monitoring and performance at every level of client data interaction, from the way data is queried from a tuned Postgres configuration to TTL best practices on a single page application.

We’re looking for candidates who can drive a product feature from design to completion using best practices and a strong understanding of common web technologies as well as design languages to avoid product overhead during development

Ideal candidates are a model of high standards of quality code and a strong grasp of architecture that others strive to learn from and measure up to. Successful candidates will possess drive and ability to self start within a start-up company environment, where challenges are common and clarity of communication is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Take product requests from requirements to shipping without external resources
  • Be aware of architectural strengths and weaknesses while constantly iterating on abstractions to ensure lean and reusable components
  • Closely work with Product Development and Product Owners to efficiently size, groom and prioritize user stories in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, software architecture discussions, while delivering software that efficiently scales with our customers and evolving needs.
  • Ensuring quality software through appropriate testing coverage, measurable performance metrics, and quality releases through continuous deployment
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and fix production issues or bugs rapidly

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a production software development environment
  • Documented track record of delivering reliable and scalable web applications
  • Experience with Node.js server-side applications
  • Experience with Dart, Flutter, Node, Typescript and modern front-end web technologies
  • Use and analysis of cloud debugging tools such as New Relic, Heap, Cloud Debugger, Backtrace, etc.
  • Relational database experience knowledge of SQL and performance tuning
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
  • BS Degree or equivalent experience

Additional Experience

  • Understanding of Docker and container based CI/CD application infrastructure such as Kubernetes and Google Cloud
  • Product management or equivalent experience
